Turkey Burgers

These Turkey Burgers are delicious served in a toasted bun with relish and are a great alternative to Beef burgers.
To get the best from your burgers and let the the flavors infuse cover your mixture and chill for 4 hours or overnight.
You could also make these burgers using chicken, lamb pork or beef.

675g Ground Turkey
1 Small Red Onion (finely chopped)
Small Handful of Fresh Thyme Leaves
2 Tablespoons Lime Flavored Olive Oil

1.Mix together the turkey,onion, thyme and 1 Tablespoon of the oil. Season with some salt and pepper. Chill for 4 hours.
2.Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and shape into round burgers, if your making these for children you and divide the mixture into 12.
3.Pre heat a frying pan or a griddle pan if you have one.
4.Brush the burgers with the remaining oil and then place them in the pan and cook for 10-12 minutes.
5.Brush with more oil and turn the burger over cook for a further 10-12 minutes or until the burger is cooked all the way through.
6.Cut your buns open and lightly toast under the grill, place your burger on the bun and serve with relish, or any sauce of your liking.
