Chicken Carbonara

Serves 2

You Will Need:-

4 Chicken Breasts

2 Rashers of Smoked Bacon. (or use cooked smoked ham you add this at the end)

200g Pasta Shapes (we use whatever we have in the cupboard).

3 Tablespoons of Creme Fraiche.

4oz of Grated Cheese.

A Pinch of Salt & Pepper.

A little oil for frying.

1. Place a pan of salted water on a medium heat (ask an adult to help you)and bring to the boil.

2. Take a sharp knife and slice the chicken  into bitesize pieces.

3.Cut the bacon in to small pieces.

4.Add the pasta to the boiling water and lower the heat and cook for 10-12 minutes (or follow the instructions on the  packet).

5. Fry the chicken for a few minutes and then add the bacon pieces and cook them both until golden brown.

6 . Remove the chicken and bacon from the pan and place on some kitchen towel to drain. Wipe the pan clean of oil and meat fats.

7. When the pasta has cooked drain in a colander and keep some of the liquid back.

8. Replace the chicken and bacon to the pan and heat through on a low heat add the pasta, creme fraiche and cheese.

9 .Season with salt & pepper and if the sauce is a little gloopy add some of the liquid you kept back from pasta and thin to your liking.

Serve the Chicken Carbonara straight away and enjoy… If you want to make this with Ham & Mushrooms just slice the mushroom and fry off for a few minutes add the ham and then the crème fraiche , cheese.
