Best Homemade Ice Cream Recipe

Have you ever wanted to make ice cream but haven’t got an Ice Cream Machine.

Well you don’t need one, they are expensive take up too much room in the kitchen, probably be stored after 1 use in the cupboard with the Candy Floss Maker.

Well here’s an easy & great way you can make Ice Cream with the kids over and over again.

There are only a few basic ingredients needed when making your Ice Cream which you can add many different flavourings to, I know a lot have people love Vanilla Ice Cream but you can be really adventurous when it comes to flavours :- Chocolate, Raspberry Ripple, Strawberry, Lemon, Cinnamon Bun, Peanut Butter, Gooseberry, Oreo, Melon, to name but a few.


Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe
(Serves 12) Uses only Five Ingredients
Ingredients:
125 ml (4 1/2 fl oz) Milk
1 Tablespoon Vanilla Essence
1 (405g) Tin Sweet Condensed Milk
1/8th Teaspoon of Salt
475ml (16 fl oz) Double Cream
Method:

  1. In a medium bowl stir together cold milk, vanilla essence, condendsed milk and salt. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, beat double cream with an elecric mixer until stiff peaks form. Fold milk mixture into whipped cream.
  3. Pour into a shallow two litre dish, cover and freeze for 4 hours, stirring once after 2 hours or as the edges start to harden (note- it may take longer than 4 hours depending on your freezer) store or serve in an airtight container for up to 10 days.

Easy Chocolate Ice-Cream
(serves 10)

Ingredients:

2 cups Double cream

1 can sweetened condensed milk

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Method:

  1. Stir together the condensed milk, cocoa powder and vanilla in a medium bowl. Set aside.
  2. In the bowl of your mixer, Whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form (do not over beat.)
  3. Fold chocolate milk mixture into whipped cream. Pour into a 2 litre container, cover and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight.
