My kids love to make Easter Nests, they decorate them with mini eggs and little yellow chicks, it is a great recipe to follow if you have young children as there is no real cooking involved just melting, licking their fingers at the end is a real treat.
To make 10 Chocolate Easter Nests you will need:-
225g Plain Chocolate
50g Butter
2 Tablespoons Golden Syrup
100g Cornflakes (or your favorite Cereals)
30 Chocolate Mini Eggs
Paper Cases
A Shallow Muffin Pan
Put the ten paper cases into the muffin pan
Break the chocolate into to chunks and place in a large saucepan. Add the butter and the golden syrup.
Heat the pan gently stirring the ingredients all the time, until the butter and chocolate have melted.
Turn off the heat, then add the cornflakes to the pan, gently stir them into the chocolate, until they are coated all over.
Fill the paper cases with the mixture. Using the back of a teaspoon, make a hollow in the middle of each Easter nest.
Arrange three mini eggs in each nest. Then put the muffin tray into the fridge and leave for about an hour to set.
Take the chocolate nests out of the paper cases and place them on a plate, keep them in the fridge until you want to eat them.
