Triple Chocolate Cookies
The Best Chocolate Cookie Recipe



Triple Chocolate Cookies

This Recipe Makes 24 Cookies

125g Unsalted Butter, at room temperature

100g Caster Sugar

100g Light Brown Muscovado Sugar

1 Large Egg

225g Plain Flour

2 1/2 Tablespoon Cocoa Powder

1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder

1/2 Teaspoon Bicarbonate of Soda

A pinch of salt

100g Plain Chocolate Chips

100g White Chocolate Chips

Pre heat the oven 180C/350F/Gas Mark 4

Put the soft butter in a mixing bowl, add both sugars and beat with a wooden spoon until the mixture looks fluffy and very soft.

Beat the egg into a small cup or bowl using a fork, add the egg to the butter and beat the mixture well.

Place a sieve over the mixing bowl tip the flour, cocoa powder, bicarbonate of soda and salt into the sieve and sift into the bowl.

Mix with the wooden spoon until all the ingredients are combined.

Add all the chocolate chips to the bowl and mix with a wooden spoon.

To make the mixture into cookies, dip your hands in cold water so they are just damp then take a small amount of the mixture, and roll it in to a ball.

Set the ball on a prepared baking sheet (clean un greased baking sheet), then make 23 more ball in the same way.

Set the balls of dough about 3cm apart on your trays. Put the cookies in the pre heated oven to bake for 15 minutes.

Once cooked remove and leave to cool for 5 minutes before transferring the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.

Store the cookies in an air tight container and eat within a week.
