Silicone Spatula

Silicone Spatulas are ideal as they have the flexibility of a traditional rubber spatula with the heat resistant qualities of a metal one.

Spatulas are ideal for your children to use when mixing wet and dry ingredients together, using one will make scraping the sides of the mixing bowl much easier than a metal one or a wooden spoon.

One of the main benefits of using a silicon spatula is that you can use it when heating foods as it has a high melting point. I always use mine when melting chocolate for cake decorating or making flapjacks etc.

A Silicon Spatula will also not damage Teflon or other Non - Stick coatings on your baking tins.

They are often sold in sets of varying sizes and bright colors, but you can purchase which ever suits your needs, your spatula will last you years so buying one is a good investment and they look great hanging in the kitchen.
