Should I buy a Silicone Whisk?

Hi, I need a new Whisk as mine has broken, a friend has suggested I buy a Silicone one.

What are the benefits of having a Silicone Whisk, will a Silicone whisk last longer than a metal one, which is what I had before.

Hi Julia,

Silicone Whisks are great as they come in bright colors and can be better than metal ones as they will not scratch your non-stick pans and can withstand a higher heat than a metal whisk and will also cool quickly which is safer, especially when cooking with kids.

Silicone Whisks are very reasonable in price and come in different sizes, so are great to give as gifts to children and adults.

I recently bought a Silicone Butterfly Whisk, which gives you more power with less effort it is great for whisking egg whites when making meringues.
