Pizza for 7 with all different tastes!

by Brandi
(Indiana)

There are 7 of us, 10yr old girl, 8,7,5yr old boys and lastly a 2yr old baby girl. We are a blended family & have been having family fun night on a weekly basis as custody is split between, all aside from the full time 2yr old.

We have been trying to find harmony or close to for about 4yrs now.

I love to cook and it's my passion. Involving them in something I know well & keeping them busy is a total bonus.

We all like completely different pizza toppings!

We already can't order 1 pizza as to our size, so we make our own. I thought well not a single one of them have ever heard of a calzone so what better time to try it!

We had a table full of toppings (sausage, black olives, peppers, pineapple, ham, bacon, cheese, pepperoni, onions, chicken, etc..)cooled and ready to go.

The kids loved the experience, and found they like some toppings they hadn't originally thought of as pizza friendly!

The laughs were amazing, sanity for me, no fighting, and learning a little bit about each other was more than the meal I didn't prepare by myself...It was also warm when i got to eat it too. :)

A Fab Idea
by: Cara

Hi Brandi, Thanks for sharing your cooking activity, it sounds like the kids all had fun which is great with their varied age range.

It really is a Fab idea to get the kids cooking together as they will find it fun and bond together very well and often eat what they have cooked.

It would lovely if you have any photos of the kids making their pizzas, hope they helped with clearing up afterwards too.

Take Care and Keep cooking

Cara :)
