Egg Free Cookies
Delicious Chocolate Treats

The Kids will love these Egg Free Cookies they are very easy to make and delicious little chocolate treats they will want to share with friends and family.

Your Friends will never know that these cookies do not contain any egg, so just because you or your family members may be on an egg free diet doesn't mean that you can't share them with others.




These little biscuits are also great to put in your kids lunch box, or allow them to have as a treat after dinner.


To make 16 small or 8 large cookies you will need:-


45g Granualted Sugar

85g Self Raising Flour

1 Tsp Bicarbonate of Soda

30g Cocoa Powder

55g Butter

2 Tbsp Golden Syrup

45g Icing Sugar


Place the sugar in a medium bowl, sift in the flour, bicarb and cocoa powder.

Add the butter and rub in with your fingers until the mixture has the consistency of breadcrumbs.

Stir in the golden syrup and mix well, draw the dough together with your hands to form a ball.

Divide the dough into 16 or 8 pieces depending on the size of your cookies, and chill them for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas Mark 4, line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Roll each piece of cookie dough into a ball and roll in the icing sugar coating very thickly, before placing them on the lined baking sheets at least 4cm apart, as they spread during baking.

Bake in the oven until attractively cracked on the top and still a little bit soft in the center.

Check the small cookies afite 10 minutes and the larger ones after 12 minutes.

Allow them to firm up on the baking sheet before transfering to a wire rack to cool completely.
