Cooking Party Games

Cooking Party Games and Activities, when you are having a kids cooking party you may want to include some party games to go with the theme, whether your party is for a Girl or Boy these games can be played at either.

Food Bingo

This one of my kids favorite Cooking Party Games.

For this game you will need some card, enough to make a bingo card for each child on the card you will need to draw 9 or 12 squares in each square you need to either draw or stick some images or words that are food related.

You will also need to have a copy of these so you can have them in a pot as the Bingo caller. The children will also need some thing to mark off their bingo card either a pen, crayon, tiddly wink or you could make a foodie button for them to place on it.

The aim of the game is for the children to mark off the food items on the card, you can start by trying to get all four corners first, then any line and finally a full house a prize is given to the child that is the first to win them.

If you don't have the time to make this you can also buy a Food Bingo Game or download the game for free.

This game is great fun for any age and it really helps children to recognize foods that they know and learn about some that they don't.

Apron and Chef Hat Decorating

This activity is fun to do at the beginning of your party, before the children start cooking.

You will need to buy some plain aprons, preferably white but it is really up to you, to decorate them I would suggest that you purchase some fabric pens as these are easy for children to use and will dry quickly.

Each child can decorate them as they wish you if you have a theme you could get them to decorate them according to that and give out prizes for the best, you could also buy stencils in the shape of food items or write foodie words on them. (along with their name).

You could do the same with the chefs hats if you are buying material ones of if you have paper hat the kids could just use normal pens or crayons to decorate them.

Cup Cake Decorating

Kids love to play this game as they get to eat the end result, give each child 2 plain cupcakes, (either homemade of shop bought) and then in the center of the table have icing bags/tubes, candy, chocolate shavings, food glitter, and allow each child the freedom to decorate their cakes one they eat and one to take home as their party favor. No prizes need at the cupcakes are prize. Kids will pick this as one of the best cooking party games if you give them a choice.

Pin the Tomato on the Pizza

This game is the same as Pin the Tail on the Donkey.

You will need to make a large paper/card Pizza and place it on your door or wall, then you can cut out smaller circles of card/paper preferably Red to be the slices of Tomato.

Have a space on your large pizza where you would like the Tomato to go, then blind fold each child one at a time spin the around and let them attach their slice of tomato to the pizza, the child who get their slice of Tomato nearest if not on the spot wins.

Oh Waiter Relay Race

You will need 2 plastic trays and 2 paper or plastic cups filled with water. Get the children in to 2 teams, each child will carry the tray holding the cup of water, the 1st team to get a cross the designated line and back with the least amount of water spilt wins.

Cooking Mamma

The Cooking Mamma game for the Wii is a great game to play, if you are having a small party or a sleepover as it needs to be played indoors.

The Wii Remote is the cooking utensil, putting the player in total control of the cooking action as you chop, grate, slice, stir, roll.

There are 55 real world dishes to create from 10 different nations, in a series of Cook Off challenges, each recipe only last a couple of minutes so the children won't get too bored, they will have fun as they can compete against each other.

There are other cooking party games for the Wii and other computer consoles.

I would love you to share your Cooking Party Games with us, or you can review other games, add photos and experiences of your cooking parties.
