Chocolate Chip Scone Recipe

This Chocolate Chip Scone Recipe is a Chocoholics treat, transform your plain scone mixture by simply adding Chocolate Chips... Kids will love them

To make 9 Scones you will need:-

225g Self-Raising Flour, Sifted

5 Tbsp Butter

1 Tbsp Caster Sugar

50g Chocolate Chips

150ml Milk (approx)

Lightly Grease a baking tray, place the flour in a mixing bowl.

Cut the butter into small pieces and rub into the flour with your fingertips until the mixture resembles fien breadcrumbs.

Stir in the caster sugar and chocolate chips.

Mix in enough milk to form a soft dough.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to form a rectangle measuring 10x15cm/4x6 inches, about 2.5cm/1 inch thick.

Cut into 9 squares, and place on a baking tray spaced well apart.

Brush with a little milk and bake in a preheated oven, 220C/425F/Gas Mark 7, for 10-12 minutes until the scones are risen and golden.
