Camping Recipes for Kids

When looking for Camping Recipes for Kids to cook or help out with will depend greatly on their age and ability.



There is nothing better than spending time with your friends and family camping in the great outdoors.

Camp fire recipes need to be a simple as possible using basic ingredients and cooking pots and equipment.

As you will be cooking over hot coals you will need to allow the fire to die down before cooking on it and Always Supervise your child.

Campfire Recipes for Kids



Easy Breakfast Burritos

Equipment Required

Skillet

Knife

Spatula


Ingredients


Non stick Spray

8 Soft Tortillas

8 Pre-Cooked Sausages

2 Potatoes, Peeled

4 Eggs

1/2 Cup Grated Cheese

Salsa


Cut the sausages into small pieces, Slice and dice the potatoes.

Spray the skillet with a little oil and add the sausages and the potatoes.

When the potatoes have started to brown mix in the eggs.

If you have room on your campfire warm the tortillas whilst you cook the eggs.

once the eggs are cooked share the mixture between the tortillas and top with the grated cheese and salsa.




30 Minute Stew


Equipment Required

1 Cooking Pot with a Lid


Ingredients


1lb of Hamburger Mince

2 Medium Potatoes, skin on, diced

2 Tbsp Minced Onions

1 1/4 Tsp Salt

1 Tsp Instant Beef Stock

2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

1 16oz Can Diced Tomatoes and juice

1 8oz Can Mixed Vegetables


This Recipe Serves 4


Brown the hamburger meat and then drain off any excess oil.

Add the remaining ingredients and stir together.

Cover and cook for 30 minutes stirring occasionally.
