Brown Bread Recipe
When you bake this Brown Bread Recipe in your bread maker you will end up with a Country-Style Bread, rustic and sturdy.
Your Brown loaf will have a deeply wheat flavor great texture and have a crispy crust and suitable for any time kids sandwiches, toast etc.
Ingredients
1 3/8 Cups Water (Check your manual for either Cold or Warm Water)
1 1/2 Tbsp Oil
3 Cups Strong Brown (Wholemeal) Bread Flour
1 1/4 Tsp Salt
1 Tbsp Light Brown Sugar
1 1/2 Dried Milk Powder
2 Tsp Instant or Fast-Acting Dried Yeast
Method
Pour the water into the Bread Maker bucket and add the oil and half the flour.
Sprinkle the salt, sugar and dried milk over the flour and add the remaining flour.
Place the yeast on top of the flour and put the bucket into the bread maker and set to the program in your manual.(usually wholewheat).
When your brown bread is ready shake the loaf from the tin and place on a wire rack to cool.
