Quick and Healthy Breakfast Recipes for Kids

As parents we are always looking for Breakfast Recipes for Kids to enjoy.





As the old saying goes Breakfast Like a King, Lunch Like a Prince and Dine like a Pauper.

So making your children understand that Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and does not have to be a fight,it can be easy when you serve some Healthy and Hearty foods.

You don't have to get up hours before your family to prepare these morning meals, many of the dishes only take a few minutes to prepare, or can be prepared the night before or in few days in advance and frozen until required.

Teaching your child to prepare their own kids Breakfast Recipes will be a life skill they will keep forever and share with their own children.

Start with easy recipes that the kids can follow, with only a few simple ingredients. Scrambled Eggs, Omelettes, and pancakes are ideal recipes to start with.


Scrambled Eggs

4 Eggs

2 Tablespoons Milk

15g Butter

Salt and Pepper

Serves 2

Crack the eggs into a cup one at a time and transfer into a bowl.

Measure the milk into the bowl and add some salt and pepper.

Mix everything together very well with a whisk.

Place a saucepan on medium heat and add the butter.

As soon as the butter has melted, carefully add the egg mix to the pan.

With a wooden spoon, stir all around the saucepan and carefully scrape the bottom to be sure the egg is not sticking to it.

Continue stirring gently until the egg is set. Do not Over cook.

Remove the pan from the heat. Spoon the scrambled egg onto plates and serve straight away with Hot Buttered Toast.



Breakfast Muffins

1 Cup Self Raising Flour

4 Tablespoons Whole Egg Mayonnaise

3/4 Cup Milk

4 Bacon Rashers, diced, fried

Serves 6

Preheat the oven to 180C Gas Mark 4.

Mix all the ingredients until just combined.

Fill Muffin Cups 2/3 full.

Bake in the oven for about 15 - 20 minutes.



Apple and Cinnamon Porridge

50g Porridge Oats

200ml Semi Skimmed Milk

A Small Apple, Peeled, and Finely Sliced

2 Tablespoons Soft Brown Sugar

A Pinch Of Ground Cinnamon


Serves 2-3

Put the oats, milk, chopped apples, sugar and cinnamon in a small non-stick saucepan together with 200ml of water.

Bring to the boil, stirring occasionally.

Turn the heat down and simmer for 5 minutes. Serve with a little extra milk and sugar to taste.
